I agree that there should never be a 3 year wait between seasons... but there were circumstances which caused this delay... But I think there is a risk of alienating your audience if we don't get back to at least only having a year between seasons... This also started with the last couple of seasons with GOT where there were a couple of years between the seasons and that is simply not good enough and is annoying as a viewer...
