GREAT DVD + Schamus even mentions The Monkees!

The film, "HEAD", starring The Monkees, got a mention at the 126:00 timepoint, in the DVD of this film.
Apparently, it influenced the how the acid-trip scene was filmed between Martin, Dano, and Kelli Garner.
Nice!

I am a 30-year Monkees fan.

The Extras for the DVD aren't plentiful, but they suffice. The commentary track between Schamus and Lee is very endearing, and affectionate. I enjoyed listening to it, the 20 minute "short" and looking at the 6 mins of deleted scenes.

By the way, viewers will notice the appearance of cameras, and boom mics in the DVD version of the film (at least the version backing Lee's and Schamus' commentary track). I thought this was interesting and am not certain if it was meant to be included or if inclusion of the mics and cameras was an oversight.

There were other oversights in the film -- Just before Teichberg appears in his press conference (suited up) to answer questions about the fest, the moderator introduces him as "Eliot Tiber", most mistakenly. I thought that surely would have been corrected in post production, but it was left in.

I'm a big Monkees fan too. A little younger (early 30's), caught them on the flip side when they made a comeback in the 80's when mtv did a Monkees midnight marathon and there music got popular again thanks to nickelodian and nick at night.

Oh, yes, yes, yes and yes! I am an avid Monkees fan, of thirty years' duration as I've said.

Say, are you "CindyCinnamon" by any chance? If so, PM me. I'll tell you who I am. You know me.

Try not to gossip about who / what you don't know. Harsh words can be cruelly speculative.
