Is it like Almost Famous.
Could you compare this film to almost famous, in terms of its rich story telling? is it any where near as good as it? I really want to see this, im pretty pissed that i missed it when it was in the cinema.

share I can see someone who enjoyed Almost Famous picking up Taking Woodstock and probably enjoying it. It's not as good as Almost Famous, but it's still a great film.
Just watch it.
ROCK STARS HAVE KIDNAPPED MY SON
I don't know, they're really nothing alike, nor even take place in the same decade.
shareNo. Almost Famous was good.
shareno. Almost famous is a much better movie.
shareNo. I've watched Almost Famous several times and still enjoy it.
I've tried watching Taking Woodstock twice so far, and each time, I fall asleep within the first hour. It's exremely boring. I couldn't be more disappointed because I wanted very much to like it.
I can't recommend this at all.
I really liked both movies. I thought "Taking Woodstock" did a great job of making you feel like you were in 1969 (similar to how "Almost Famous" did, but for the 1970's).
To compare: "Taking Woodstock" (IMHO) is a very good movie (particularly if you are into the Woodstock scene). "Almost Famous" is great.
