Some accountant must have swiped $25 million.

I agree. I really liked the movie, but i looked at the budget and the overall take and was shocked. I'm guessing it had to have been actor salaries, because there was zero marketing.

Agreed about the marketing- I heard it was filming then nothing. Not a commercial or trailer for me to pick up and run with.
Anyway, I'm about to watch it now...

A lot obviously went into elaborate sets and a lot of extras (for a relatively small film).

Exactly. Lots of extras and being a period piece can also add to the cost.
