some favorite moments (of the weekend)

I clipped this from another comment. I always write too much.
I veered into 'favorite moments'...
Maybe my favorite moment? The Who followed by the Airplane and the sunrise. WOW!
Best discovery? Leslie West/Mountain! I bought the album as soon as I got home. But I didn't catch the name. I asked a friend who worked at a record shop if he knew. Fat guy, big curly hair, Les Paul... He immediately handed me the album.
Luckiest moment - catching the Dead playing back in the woods. They were great! (not so much on stage)
Biggest regret - a girl and I taking TWO tabs of acid, because we couldn't find the kind we wanted. We were so high! It wasn't a problem, but I would have rather just smoked pot and listened to the music more.
On Saturday morning, I turned on the radio in the van (I had the van, and got a free ticket for getting friends there. Otherwise, I wouldn't have even known about it). The news said 'disaster area, no food, locals selling water...) We gathered up whatever food we had. When we went outside, everything was fine. Plenty of water (long before personal drinking bottles), food was available (thanks, Diggers!).
It wasn't a disaster - it was friggn Nirvana!

1 year after Woodstock, England put on its own rock concert at a place called Glastonbury.
It outshone Woodstock from what I saw.
It still has concerts there at Eaves farm every summer.
