Angela Lansbury

Was there any meaning to that joke, or was Patrick Wilson's character just trying to be cute?

I would guess he was just being cute, by listing someone you'd never expect. It may also be a nod to Patrick Wilson being a Broadway musical star... as Angela Lansbury also is.

Perhaps Ms. Lansbury and former President Carter should both sue for libel!

I was hoping to find the answer here.....wasn't sure if there was something in her past.....guess it was possibly that she wouldn't ever be considered mean.....and was either made before the Betty White hype or after and figured it would be over-played by the time of the movie's release. cute movie - liked it and since I try to avoid previews it was different than what I expected!

I think it was just some sort of joke (that wasnt funny) , it was more shocking than comedic. Everyone expected him to say Bin Laden or some other infamous person and instead he says Angela Lansbury, who im sure most people know is a wonderful person, great actress and excellent role model. It was an awful, rather awkward and slightly off putting tasteless joke. The movie was terrible anyway, i was very let down. This is just my interpretation , hope that helps answer your question.

Ms Fletcher has more deaths on her than Bin Laden (kiddin)...whenever she goes people die, and it's been going on for 12 years. Maybe that was the joke ('she knows why').
Or maybe is a refernce to the manchurian candidate?
