The friendship development between Ford and McAdam's seemed rushed...

I mean this is suppose to be some mean hearted character who doesn't even see his family and has spent years bitter and alone. First of all, I thought it was naive of McAdam's character to think just because Ford's character go that one interview that they were automatically copacetic. Then, by the end of the movie (not much time has passed by then BTW) he suddenly comes out of his shell for her and starts his own cooking segment on the show. I'm not buying it...just seemed rushed and implausible to me. Otherwise, I thought the movie was alright. Nothing spectacular but a decent dramedy.
