I LOVE this movie! Because...

They don't make many movies like this one anymore! To me it's a comedy like old Goldie Hawn movies.

Super strong female lead with a girl-nextdoor quality, in a big city, succeeding in her career against all expectations, and a great ending that's not ONLY about her relationship with a guy. The pace is so fast like old comedies, too. No one liners. Very dynamic, and not afraid to bring a lot of characters and hierarchies into the comedy.

Miss movies like this. This is the ONLY movie I like Rachel McAdams in, also. For me personally she's too stressed-out looking for others. But she fits perfectly here!

I actually like Rachel McAdams in other movies like The Lucky Ones and the Sherlock Holmes movies, but I agree that she does comedy really well. What I liked best about this movie is that it didn't really center on the romance. It was refreshing to see a workplace comedy where the characters played so well off each other. I really think this movie would have done just as well w/out the romance story.
Oh, and how much did I not like the mother in this? Who tells there daughter to give up on her dreams like that??

I've been a McAdams fan since mean girls, and loved her in the Hot Chick..that movie never gets old! Her roles have matured such as this one. I liked the Times Traverles Wife as well, although the plot was everywhere but McAdams always delievers! I remember watching her on w late night show, possibly Kimmel, she likes to lead a simple life.. I like that about her. You never see her unless she's in a movie!

They may not make a lot of these types of movies, but I can't stand the love stories threaded into them.

Contact, Devil Wears Prada, Morning Glory... I'm enjoying nearly every scene in this film (still watching it) but McAdams is going to hook up with that douchebag producer guy, just like Hathaway hooked up with a douchebag or Jodie Foster hooked up with a douchebag (actually he was less of a douchebag but still annoying).

At least in Seems Like Old Times, Goldie had already met, and married, the douchebag, so the love story is, in fact, a reverse love story, where she falls out of love with Grodin and back into love with Chase, who is at least a lovable douchebag.
