Do you mean it's going to fail box office-wise against the vampires and the whatever-the-hell the 3D movie is about. Kids toys? A cartoon? Honestly I don't know. But it doesn't take an industry insider to predict that. Not everybody wants to see a vampire film for teenage girls and some people hate M. Night Shyamaln's films so at least there is an alternative to people who don't want to see movies aimed at the teens. There are more teens and kids in their 20's who go to the theater than adults which is why the pop-culture and fantasy movies always open big box office. Kids love those. So yes, the box office will be bigger for those younger crowd movies. And the target audience for the M. Night Shyamalan film probably doesn't know who he is or are not discrinating enough to care. Which is fine, it's not an insult, That's the way kids should be like. As for me I'll probably see the Shyamalan film because I'm interested in him and his career. The vampire one probably not. Maybe someday if I have kids.
Anyway, enjoy it.
