This Movie is just plain BAD

I saw "Love Ranch" at a screening in California last night. Save your time, save your money. This is a sad, embarrassing failure of a film that is best forgotten. For those of you who admire the participants, go and look at their earlier works. This one is really bad.

its not bad its not good. its worth a watch

The Dude: Jesus.
Jesus Quintana: You said it, man. Nobody *beep* with the Jesus.

yeah its just a mediocre movie, nothing terrible but not good either apart from seeing the beautiful Scout and a return of Joe Pesci with some Helen Mirren in there this has little to offer.

I can't watch it. The script is abominable. The actors have nothing to prove --- they are all fantastic, Joe Pesci, Hellen Mirren, but the dialogue is wooden and contrived, the scenes implausible and lacking punch... I'm really shocked at why the actors would have chosen to do this project... the money? Really? There's nothing watchable here, a shame and a surprise.

couldn't agree more, so +1

Agree, this was dreadful, the first Helen Mirren movie I couldn't sit all the way through (and I sat through Caligula, National Treasure 2, and Greenfingers!)

reply

Yeah this was horrific to sit through. They actually made this movie where I live, I know some locals who worked on it. They made it in 2008, but it never had a theatrical release. Pesci, Gershon etc. officially are cemented as "has-beens" by this disaster of a movie.
