Honestly though would've been cool if they'd had Laurie Metcalf in Sam's visions as well, sort of beckoning to her darkness. Would've been like Michael Myers and his mom and Laurie in Zombie's Halloween 2
It seems she would have to know about her grandma as well, but after 3, they seem to prefer to ignore any that weren't the original. I think that's a mistake, makes it feel more episodic than a whole story.
She'll have visions of her dead grandmother as well as her dead father.
