Loved it, but.....

the call in the beginning, the killer's initial friendliness involved that he was from one of her mom's groups, and his name was Wes. Yes Wes Craven, lots of references to Wes....including the character named Wes who gets killed shortly after his shower. What I don't understand is the choice in the script to have, in the initial call, the killer identify himself as Wes....Wes from Sam's mom's "group", assuming it is AA or something. So basically it doesn't really seem like we're supposed to think that the caller Wes is the student Wes, but anyhow that part was confusing AF to me and I don't understand its place in the movie. And I bet that noone can explain it to me, and the movie would have been better off without it.
