Something from his standup routine got lost in the shuffle. I think he's funny and all, and that some of the things he says are very true. But I think the artsy scene transition crap was just part of the reason why this show sucked. I won't be watching again.

shareI am sorry, I love Demetri as much as the next guy, but I am pretty sure putting four exclamation points after every word doesn't really convey intelligence.
shareI think he's funny, but weird, like some of the things he does is stupid. Like the last transition into commercial where it's a drawn picture of himself and he was talking it was weird.

I understood it. I got what he was saying. I essentially said that in my original post. You fail at reading comprehension. This show just sucked. Oh, and the other poster is right. When you argue you don't need to use so many exclamation marks, dummy.

Demetri is a funny guy, but I don't think an entire show is good for him. Most of his comedy is funny, but gets old pretty quick.
When he had his spot on the Daily Show, it was funny (I'm not sure if it was him or the jokes), but this show is just not funny.
Some of the segments were funny, but a lot of the time they were boring, and it seemed to me that Demetri thinks he's a lot funnier and cleverer than he actually is.
Seems to me that they took what could have been a decent, straight-up comedy special and diluted it with contrived drawings, show themes and sketches that do little else but fill the timeslot.
