Does anyone know if they are going to renew this for another season? I know the season finale is tonight, but Demetri Martin was asking people who follow him on Twitter to "tell Comedy Central an 'important thing' or two," which leads me to believe they aren't going to bring it back. I heard that (at least before South Park came back) it was the highest rated show on Comedy Central, so I'd think they'd bring it back.

On a side note, I can't watch this show anymore. The jokes are so hit-and-miss that I don't want to sit for a half hour waiting for the snippets of mild humor. The pilot was awesome, but it has been weak since.

I actually liked it too. I just don't find the majority of the Comedy Central presents people funny anymore. Demetri may not always have the best jokes, but you have to admit he is original. If anyone does have any information on a season two, please let us know.

For anything to be really funny you have to have a lot of bad jokes too. Shows like the whitest kids u know and kids in the hall are perfect examples of great shows that are hit and miss.

I would image they will pick up another season. You don't need great ratings for cable networks to give a show a little time. If a show being funny has anything to do with the ratings then I sure there high anyway.

I love demetri been a fan for a long time.

clearification show he did a while back was gold.

but i wouldnt mind if he just stuck to stand up. his sketches and skits were weak on the show. but the rest (short stand up clips) were funny.

I don't think this is close to half of what the Chapelle show was, and I don't think anything will ever top it. But damn, Important Things is funny, and creative.

Well sure, but try finding a show about a dog taking a *beep*. Sometimes you have to go with whats on.
