the first episode was lackluster imo (i still like his standup better), but power picked up the slack.. gives me faith this show can last a little.

That's good to hear. I was pretty surprised at how mediocre "Timing" was. The sketches were pretty awful or just WAY too long for the set-up/punchline.

And the stand-up parts were okay... but just watching "Timing" made me think that he should have simply done another Comedy Central special so that he could combine all the best material from the show.

I'm just hoping that the show format wasn't a mistake... It's good to have a show, but it's better to just have a comedy special if said special can be 100% brilliant while the show just has to dilute that material to fit in with show themes and to fill the designated timeslot.
