Director was drunk,Niggr was punk

if this is not based on some true story then this is surely one thing.

"a head *beep* and bastard nigr" i mean does anyone try to think in the whole thread, why does he put them in yard and make them fight by making politics among groups.what was it,a jail which is supposed to be a kind of rehab center for everyone or an underground fight-club.

film was good with good story but WARDEN and his DEEDS were totally out of plot, made me feel sick that what the hell was director showing to public.

He was showing what prisons in California are like. There are prison guards who sanction fights, and there are some who participate in murders.

You clearly missed a lot of the key points of this film. One being that the desensitization that occur's in prisons happen as much with the guards as it does the inmates. There are a LOT of corrupt guards working in prisons around this country. A lot of this movies key theme's come through John Smith's words. His talk about desensitization, how they are all prisoners, (including the guards), etc.. I don't know if there are situations that are similar to what we see in this film or not but ultimately, that really doesn't matter as this is first and foremost a movie, one whose main purpose is to entertain. Beyond that the main themes of this film are not true but also extremely relevant in US society. As the film states at the end, over 2 million people are in prison in the US, with a 1000 people being added every week.

I don't understand why you would feel sick in regards to what the director was showing to the public. Just makes no sense in my book. Prisons are ugly places and they are ruled by the gangs and the gua
