Didn't expect such a sad ending *MAJOR SPOILERS*

I find it funny that Smith said the original script was too dark while this one still ended kind of dark if bittersweet. Dante dies being miserable and never getting over the death of Becky, him and Randal only rekindel their friendship on his deathbed, and then it ends with Randal being stuck again working at the QuickStop even though he gets bailed out of having to split owneship with Emma thanks to Elisa's NFT thing.

Aside from the NFT shit, it's a realistic ending, just not the one I expected for this series.

Yeah, it was a real realistic ending. Rosario Dawson and Brian O'Halloran are dead in real life so they should be dead in the movies.

Oh wait a minute...

reply

How would you have ended it then?

reply

I wouldn't have killed off Becky for starters. And then to kill Dante too...wtf?

reply

Well that's life sometimes.

reply

Methinks Rosario is too famous and busy to be in the whole movie so they wrote her in a small role

reply

I doubt she would've been in it much more if her character had been alive. If they had to say she died, I wish it wouldn't have been RIGHT AFTER Clerks 2. That puts more of a downer on the ending of Clerks 2 than if she had died in, say, 2011 or something.

reply

True that was an odd choice to have her die that same year. I wonder why he made her death so sudden
