The bridge cops

OMG, were they limping? DW turned his head about five times and yelled and gestured, and every time the cops were the same distance away!! It was ridiculous! Travolta could have clocked Denzel and built an escape route by the time they even got near them! What sloppy filmmaking!

Agreed! That was hilarious.

The other thing about this scene is that the cops should have dropped Denzel as soon as he pulled the trigger. That's serious cop protocol and not one of those guys had any idea who either guy was. They approached, yelled "drop your weapon" and he pulled the trigger. Ask any cop and he will tell you that is the signal to open fire.

I agree that it was absurd how slow they were moving, but I don't necessarily think they would've shot Garber. There's a good chance word travelled quickly through the ranks that a "good guy" of Garber's description was with the hijackers.

That part bugged me too. Did they stop for a coffee & a doughnut or something??

reply

It reminded me of that scene from Monty Python where the knights are storming the castle, and every time the camera cuts away and back to them they are the same distance as where they started.

Utah! Get me two.
