What a wonderul movie, and
also so tragically sad. I had no idea so many of these type of pets were out there. I was amazed and appalled that places like the exotic "swap meets" even existed. It was disheartening to see the children there, and how they have been raised by their parents to accept this behavior.
I think about my pet house-cats. I love them and they love me, but if they were just double the size that they are, they could seriously hurt me. This could just be from playing, and just like any animal, they have feelings and can get angry, jealous, etc... and act on it. Sure, lions appear to be beautiful creatures, and I'm sure I would love to pet them and love them, but I know better. They are still wild and can't help their actions. Hell, who hasn't been hurt my a person they trust and love.
I will never understand how people are into snakes. I just don't get it. Never, ever.
These people who buy these animals should be forced to watch this movie, to educate them, help them understand. Unfortunately, I think this country of mine has tipped beyond a certain point. It's become all about ME, ME, ME and not hard work or morals, or what you can do to make a better place, only, what can you give me for doing nothing. That people actually elected this current administration is very telling.
