Peter Capaldi?
Peter Capaldi is listed on the poster and the preview, but not in the imdb cast list.
Does anyone know what role he will be playing, or if he is still part of the project?
He's playing grouchy cheapskate neighbor Mr. Curry. ("BEAR! What are you doing, bear?!") I think he's a perfect fit.
As long as he doesn't take on too many characteristics of Capaldi's OTHER most famous role.
(Paddington: Mrs. Brown, I've been learning LOTS of new words from Mr. Curry.)
I've seen production photos of him talking to Nicole Kidman's character. In one of them, Millicent is holding a bouquet of half-wilted flowers. I predict that he's being sweet-talked into helping her--she is a lovely woman and could make some headway with an aging bachelor or widower. (Somehow with Mr. Curry, I think it's the latter...an attitude like his could grow out of sorrow or bitterness.) The wilted flowers might be a gift from him--Mr. Curry's too cheap to spend good money on FRESH ones.
And if this is the case, I also predict a My God What Have I Done moment when he realizes Millicent's true intentions. ("Of course that bear was a nuisance and I wanted him gone, but I never wanted him DEAD!")
