How can Paddington be rated PG in the UK. This is the same rating that was given to Mrs Doubtfire. Are the censors completely bonkers?

It's also the same rating as the first Toy Story film.
Although I can understand the criticism of some of the specific comments in the BBFC classification (which the BBFC have since taken on board), I don't see any problem with a "PG" rating. Bonneville described it as "perfectly appropriate", and the director Paul King has said it's what they were expecting. It's not going to prevent anyone from seeing the film... share
