A solid effort I'd say. I went in expecting to be bombarded with fart jokes and get a product of the same kind of quality as garbage like The Smurfs, Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear, Alvin & the Chipmunks, etc. etc. and was pleasantly surprised.

shareIts a quality kids film. Ben wishaw has a lovely voice. Funny and charming, i watched it with a bunch of adults and 2 kids and we all loved it. Hugh bonneville is kinda getting typecast as a bumbling idiot. Sort of like a fatter version of hugh grant. And nicole kidman's turn as the baddy was virtually a reprise of her baddy from the Golden Compass. Miranda Richardson would have been far better in her role.
