A heartwarming tale, with underlying themes of tolerance and acceptance.

Paddington was a film that exceeded my expectations, with some great performances and an abundance of quirky British humour that compensated for a rather perfunctory plot marking it above the usual kids film.
Highly recommended for children and adults alike.

Yes, yes, yes! Underlying themes of tolerance and acceptance - absolutely! I loved the film and its humour and pathos. I had misgivings, but it was totally wonderful.

Glad you enjoyed the film as much as me Ambrosi-l. πŸ˜ƒ
It's rare to find a children's movie these days with such wit and intelligence.

Totally agree. Loved the quirky touches like the tree in the hallway and the addresses being checked off. A wonderful film that will become a family favourite for years to come.

I'm afraid that I have to disagree. I wanted to like this movie. I looked forward to seeing it, but the crude humour got to me, as did the fact that the moral of the story was really shoved down our throats. Normally I watch much older films in which the moral of the story is presented in a more subtle manner. Then when I do watch anything released after about 1980, I get annoyed with the constant in-your-face preaching of morals.

I agree it was heartwarming, and a delight as we saw it in a cinema filled with laughing and giggling kids and parents. Just love the little bear!
