The Real Message of This Film...

Immigrants. And how we in Britain should keep an open mind about them, welcome immigrants into our country with open arms and make them "part of the family".

What is that thing you're using?"..... "It's technical.

Only if they're nice immigrants like Mr. Gruber.

I liked how they put across that message quite clearly without beating you over the head about it. And how Mr. Brown, Mrs. Brown and Mr. Curry represented 3 common stances on immigration.

The movie is clearly about bears and how we should assimilate them into human society.

I assure you, as an opponent of immigration generally, that I would have no.objection to talking bears from Peru coming here.

I learned that someone in obvious need can be ignored by pretty everybody and someone will eventually come along and take care of them and everything will work out splendidly.

Immigration is great when the individual emigrating to a country is making an effort to assimilate into his country of choice.

In this case, he speaks the language and he has tried to learn and understand the culture. He doesn't need to lose who he is but he does recognise that he needs to fit in with everyone else rather than expecting everyone to fit in with him.
