Is there a reason why "Shine" by Stefani and Pharrell isn't on iTunes?

The main song in the credits and it isn't even on the soundtrack, where can I DL it legally and put it on my iPod?

Probably because it's an utterly crappy song and nobody cares about it.

I'm not a 100 percent sure, but seems like Shine was made to be included in the US version of the film (or at least in the English audio track), seems like there are other versions without this song, because I'm watching the film with an Spanish audio track and Shine is not present in this track, the movie ends with another calypso style song of D Lime featuring Tobago Crusoe, the song is called "London Is The Place For Me".

But shine is present in the English audio track.

So I don't know if this song was in the credits of the UK version or not, I can not find any info around the web.

Shine is not a bad song, but for me it really does not fit at all in the style of the film. I think the song is not an official song for the film, sounds more like a last minute added extra song or something....

I was initially confused by this thread as I didn't know what song the OP was referring to, but I think you've nailed it.
"Shine" is not on the R2 DVD release (UK and RoI), and it was not on the UK cinematic release: the credits feature "London is the Place for Me", followed by a reprise of an instrumental piece from the soundtrack.

Remember that Paddington is a British/French co-production: "Shine" isn't on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack because it wasn't on the original soundtrack. The film came out in the UK in November 2014, but "Shine" wasn't released as a promotional single until January the 13th 2015 - just before the film was released in the States. It therefore sounds like it was just added for the US release (and perhaps other countries that got a later release, such as China). The song wasn't used in UK trailers.

As for "Shine" itself: it's not been given a digital release yet. There were suggestions it would feature on Stefani's third studio album (out next month), but that doesn't appear to be the case now. It may have fallen down the hole that opened up when Stefani scrapped the original work on "This Is What the Truth Feels Like"...

Not to criticize "Shine" either, but IMO this is why the use of "London is the Place for Me" on the (original) release of the film is so important, as it ties in with the whole immigration theme.

The song was written by Lord Kitchener (Aldwyn Roberts) who was one of the original "Windrushers", and he famously performed it for a film crew just after the Empire Windrush arrived in the UK.
