worst film in a long time

wow! the fake britain the cheesy rubbish lines the fake acting my god! you would have to be 3 to like it! diabolical piece of trash! i loved toystory the croods but this is so false and cringeworthy

I would have enjoyed it more if they didn't insist on shoving the moral of the story in my face for the last third of the film (or whatever). I've seen that with other modern films. Why do they do that?

What sad lives you must have. Very entertaining and enjoyable film.

I'm more entertained by much older films (mostly pre-1970 movies) in which they don't go shoving morals down my throat.

Well, Paddington is based on a series of books that are mostly pre-70s with the first one coming out in the late 50s.

The movie actually had a lot of references to the books and I felt it did a great job of trying to be inclusive to anyone that has fond memories of those books or whatever (I'm not actually one of those people and was Dr. Seuss and Curious George for my earliest books). I truly am not an expert on the Paddington series... but with the nature of the movie, I felt it played out fairly similarly to what a children's book should.

I mean... this is a book about Paddington Bear! It is a licensed product... as such, I think you have to make some concessions to the idea that the movie should play out accordingly.

But even ignoring the idea that it is a licensed product based on a hugely successful children's book... it IS a children's movie... so yeah, there's that as well.

reply

Totally agree. It was entertaining and visually engaging.

Worst? Seriously?

I'm not british. not even american - I am from Baltics and I liked that movie.

Because british and american film industries are quite different I usually watch american movies because most british movies has not "that action pack" (even not in family movies).

But this movie is one of the fewest british movies I could watch.

reply

This is way above the croods but to each his or her own.

reply

You need to watch more movies then. If you do watch a lot of movies then the title of your post is the worst in a long time.

reply

You disliked it so much that you had to post a thread about it?
I quite liked it. I guess I must be 3.

You didn't like a movie. When you buy a movie ticket that's the chance you take. Big deal, you waste time doing a lot of things I suspect.

" i could have wrote a better script for the kiddys!"

As that sentence should read 'I could have written a better script for the kiddies' you've just proved you couldn't!

reply

You have to love when a superior tone is adopted by someone who, judging by his misspellings an lack of punctuation, is barely literate. But that's just me.

reply

No, it's not just you, ME...traut. Bingo.
