She's supposed to be a disabled female who mentors a straight white dude, why change that?

For fans of the comics and cartoons, Madame Web had a distinct design that they would've liked to have seen in live-action. For the RadLibs, she was a disabled woman telling one of the most famous males in fiction what to do.

All Sony had to do was market it as the latter just to shut up the RadLibs, and we could've had a proper Madame Web in the MCU, win-win for both sides.

I have no proof of this but I think Sony is making all Spider-Man related villains and characters into spin off movies so that they can pull Spidey out of the MCU. I heard a rumor that Kraven, Morbious, and Venom will be in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man 4 movie they have planned.

Yeah, they want to have their own cinematic universe and have been trying to set up a Sinister Six movie for ages. The funny part is, they don’t seem to know what Spider-Man they want to use.
