A review for the whole series
This week I finished the whole series. I had actually watched the first movie years ago, and I picked up the second and third and watched them...
I must say... sometimes some scenes were over the top. Particularly the baby scene in the second movie. Which even in the context of the movie, was difficult to watch and yes, actually tempted me to stop watching. But. Let's get to the context: this is comedy. It is in a way successful comedy as it made me laugh out several times. Everything about the movie is comedy. From the strobe light scene where nothing can be understood. To the scene of cute cheating Secret blowing up the savior's head. To the hilarious scene of the old bartender trying to cauterize karate kid's arm like he saw in Rambo III! To the glorious Mariachi ending. It was pretty cool and the third movie, in my opinion, is the best.
Yet. Reading the comments here and the reviews, it is also obvious this movie was not successful. In the sense that most people apparently did not get the movie is comedy and fill up the boards pointing out how the characters are stupid or how the plot has holes. Of course. If you did not get it's comedy... well... come on... how about the savior explaining why it is a good idea to get split in small groups (which is exactly how characters get killed in teenager horror movies) - which by the way was a big laugh...
Ahh well... so, evidently this movie, rather the whole series, while not bad, wasn't sold well... but if you want some laughter at the movies you watched while you were a teenager into cheesy horror movies... by all means watch! Just don't come in some boards to complain why the movie does not make sense or does not "explain".
But maybe I am not getting it, and the boards too, are part of the fun experience in a way ;-))
