If I were gwyneth's character, I'd be weirded out by him. He acts all spastic. Yet her character seems so interested in getting to know him. For some reason his behavior would make me uncomfortable. anybody else think that?
shareHe's caracther is a very troubled man, with deep psychical problems and history of depression. I don't think he did give the impression of a spastic person but more like a man on the edge almost uncomfortable in he's own skin. Joaquin Phoenix was remarkable in this part.
Some woman would feel protective of someone in he's situation, others would take advantage and I think this is just what happened.
