Not as bad as I thought it would be but still pretty bad.

This had all the feel of kids wanting to make a Twilight Zone episode.

There were a few acting moments that worked. Not too many. The photography was unremarkable. The writing and story structure were pretty flimsy.

This would have been better made cut in half as a one hour TV drama. Not sure what channel would want to run it, though.

Yeah, I tend to agree.

On the plus side, this didn't degenerate into a slasher film. The film didn't pull any miracle saves for Atheria. Noelle acted intelligently and her smarts saved her life. You gradually saw the group go from just making dumb decisions that any city kid would make to making really stupid ones driven by thirst. You also saw them making increasingly desperate efforts to survive that would have been unthinkable a few days before. That part of the film was actually a cut above similar films, which is so rare that I actually gave it a positive rating though most people probably don't see it that way.

The writing and Chabert's acting were a plus, the rest of it were minuses. On the whole, I wouldn't make a special effort to see it. If you just want to see Chabert and McNab in bikinis, then don't watch past the first few minutes.
