Typical Showtime crap

I thankfully don't have Showtime any more. I do check the guide for a laugh to see the same B and direct to DVD movies they play over and over and over again each day. This movie is currently one of them. The plot sounded interesting enough so I decided to rent it.

Wasn't the worst movie I've seen but laughable still. It was like an episode of the old 90210 or Lacey's old show Party of Five. Pretty ppl get stranded in the desert. There's some really bad acting and over acting. To my surprise ppl die but you don't really get to know the characters enough and I didn't care.

I noticed Lacey was also a producer on this movie. Make no mistake that either she and/or other "powers that be" made sure this was her movie. She comes across smug and smarter than everyone else. There is only one other girl in the movie who plays a typical wild slut. Lacey is the good girl who you can hardly hear at times over her soft voice. I was surprised she appeared in a bikini at times in this. Before the main part of the plot started she even telegraphed the disapproving facial expressions even at the idea.

Yeah it was awful. There was a simple solution to their situation, just walk back to the highway or walk until they got phone signal. Young people would be amazed how far they can walk when they have to. None of them had leg injuries. They HAD a road to follow, they could walk at night. Stupid. I got stranded in the desert once and walked like 35 miles to where I could get help. I got dehydrated, but it wasn't really a big deeal.

Instead, they sit around like dumb-sh*ts and die, they literally do everything wrong in that situation, they wander away from the road and get lost. This makes young people look really stupid.

Well, its not like Lacey's career is going anywhere. Maybe its time for a Playboy pictorial.

If there'e anything positive to come from this bad movie, people should learn how to survive in a situation like this. Also, if you are going off pavement 80 miles, maybe think about bringing more than a couple of 2 liter bottles of water from 7-11. Stupid, wreckless people die in these situations, that's the take away from this film.
