Hellz, yeah. I was pleasantly surprised with this after it finally picked up. That finale was one brutal one, I'll say that. Despite all the negative reviews for Malevolence, I remember LOVING it before I even read the reviews. Then when I found out in the special features from the Malevolence DVD that it was planned as a trilogy, I was sold. I LOVE Mena's film style. It always has a very distinct look that separates it from most horror these days. I was a bit disappointed in the score being pretty much re-used several pieces from the Malevolence score (which makes the Halloween series references seemingly endless) but honestly, I wasn't paying too much to the score this time around. Overall, I thought both Malevolence and Bereavement were solid films so bring on the third, Mena!
