despite the low overall imdb rating:
i must confess that, having seen many movies of this genre, the 'screams' in this movie seemed so realistic and chilling and the overall sense of helplessness, dread and desperation the victims conveyed from very early on seemed so unmistakably and inescapably spot on, it made me wish i could slowly dismember the serial killer in this flick and rip out his heart with my bare hands.. no other movie to date has compelled me to want to torture and inflict unmitigated pain on the villain like this movie did..
incidentally, while i have read a lot from other posters regarding the so-called subpar acting in this movie, i must say that the victims did a pretty amazing job of conveying what they were supposed to, especially those chillingly realistic screams..
