Does anyone else feel sorry for Martin?

I know I definitely did. He didn't want to become a killer which is why he tried to run away and tried to cut one of the victims free. He knew what Sutter was doing was wrong and what Sutter was forcing him to do was wrong so he tried to run away to escape from it. However, Sutter kept abusing him as a punishment and kept trying to force him to kill so he had to give in and become what Sutter wanted him to be. He wasn't born evil, he was just made that way because of what happened in his life. After all, it's hard to feel love when you've spent almost your entire life surrounded by hate. He didn't remember what love was so hate was his only option. Not to mention with his condition, he probably didn't realize Sutter was hurting him. I felt sorry for him. Although Spencer List didn't speak a single line in the film, he still managed to brilliantly portray the character of Martin and had one of the best performances I've ever seen from a child actor. Does anyone agree with me?

Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.

No one was born evil. I don't feel sorry for this little bastard, there is no need to. Also I think it was really bad and I mean bad acted part. Not only young actor's fault but mostly the script. He seems to understand that what his kidnapper is doing is bad and tries to run away from it but 15 minutes later he literally becomes new Jason Voorhees. I mean c'mon.

Sutter was 100 times the parent that his mother was. I wanted Martin to return home and finish his mother off.
