I recognize you’re being facetious but a version of A Christmas Carol with a predominantly black cast was done in a 1986 TV movie called “John Grin’s Christmas” starring Robert Guillaume (right after the end of his Benson sitcom). This version placed the modern-day Scrooge in an American middle-class black community. There’s a MovieChat page on the movie with very few comments. But you can watch it at:

It’s well worth viewing because it’s a tight 50 minutes and it stars some of the most recognizable and popular black actors from the 1980s.
