An absolute mess!

Initially, I was sort of liking this movie, even though it wasn't exactly action packed. It's about a convicted felon who was offered to be a test subject instead of serving his sentence in jail and if he completed the testing, he would go free.

He's basically in isolation in a very strange setting. I won't say more than that as to not spoil it for anyone who might want to see it. However, I will say that not much happens until things start happening and then it's over WITH NO EXPLANATION!

An absolutely mess and a total waste of time!

The premise sounds similar to the Japanese movie Alive. Have you seen it?

That movie (Alive) is actually really good, sans the ending where it suddenly becomes goofy af. Always thought it could do with a proper Hollywood remake.

I never heard of Alive but having just read some of the reviews on the link you posted it definitely sounds similar to this movie. Many people disappointed with Alive's ending too, although it sounds like there is at least an explanation of what is happening and some background on it. With Subject, there is nothing!
