So either there was a twist or the twist was in my head. Did others think the whole household were dead. I thought everyone was dead at first and trapped and experiencing time warps like Hannah was who was in fact dead. Until of course I realized what was going on.

Ghosts can do anything the writer says they can do, which is why ghost stories have huge plot holes and never make sense. Somehow Peter couldn't touch Rebecca, but Viola can grab anybody she wants to by the throat.
