Will he be missed after his performance in this film?
More important question. Did people even know he was being set up as the next Thanos? And I mean casual audiences, not obsessive oddballs on the internet like us.
shareNo more than they knew Thanos was being set up to be the first Thanos. He barely appeared until Infinity War, and all of my casual film fans had no idea that he existed until that time. He was teased in a couple post-credits scenes, and had maybe one or two brief appearances before Infinity War, but to most people he was just another of the countless weird alien dudes that popped up. It wasn't until Infinity War that he became a recognizable bad-ass, much like I assume Kang wouldn't have jumped out at the casual viewers until he was full-on made out to be The Big Bad Guy.
