the story is all over the place. some really strange scenes which doent make sense and that also for LONG time. like that iguana scene, jeez it took 5 min to show them.
many random scenes woven into story. like his time with the prostitute and that black drug dealer. it made the movie pointless and dragging.
the acting was also outrageous. bad guys didnt really look that bad, kind of silly rather.
dont waste ur time on this one folks.
You'll find a lot of people who disagree with you, but it IS a movie that polarises opinion. If you're expecting a linear narrative and a straightforward detective story (nothing wrong with that) then yes, you'll be disappointed. If you just lay back and let all the excess, the twists and turns, surprises and madcap moments wash over you, then hopefully, like me, you'll enjoy it.
I thought the iguana scene could have been better, at least a lot more freakier. He also sees one near the end of the film, so I presume that they didn't exist at all, and the other cops were just humouring him.
