Where is Rick Mitchell?

Lately, I've noticed that he's not hanging out in the back of the pitch meeting. Last I remember seeing him was around Christmas when he grabbed a bottle of champagne during one of Harvey's crazy games (even though he didn't win). I hope he didn't get fired for that. Rick is funny, and was the only reason left to watch the show.
Does anyone know if he's coming back?

Missin' me sum Mitchell.

I notice Zach is back, but he looks quite different. No longer rocking his Seattle sports jerseys.

Nothing from him on Twitter lately at all.

looks like he left.

Thanks for the update.

I'll miss Rick's zingers in the TMZ bullpen.

Those zingers walked the tightrope between tasteless & laugh out loud funny.

He always seemed to know how & when to deliver them during the filming for maximum funny.

No one in the remaining staff seems to be able to drop them as effortlessly as he did.

reply

Rick outclassed them all for sure.
He would make for a great late night talk show host

reply

Yeah, he did throw out some funny zingers. Have you guys seen the commercials for the show now? There is one where Raquel says she dances at the club alone and Van says "everyone is like this girl aint even dancing with nobody." Really? That's the funniest line they could find to use in a commercial? Rick's Lindsay Lohan coke reference was actually funny. Van's line was not.

There's also another one where they just call someone ugly. Not witty in the slightest.

Is he saying he was fired? Did he miss his sexual chemistry with Brian too much? Did he ask for a raise?

What a loss for TMZ! :(

Is Rick Mitchell doing stand-up in any comedy clubs around the country? He certainly has what it takes to make a comfortable living in that profession alone! I was hoping that he stayed at "TMZ" to maximize his exposure to the outside world, then left of his own accord to become the professional comic he was meant to be! Any possibility this is actually what happened?!
