New viewer to Heartland

So I’ve been binge watching the show for the past few months.
Series started out a little slow but I am still hooked., even though I am not a big horse lover. The characters for the most part have kept me entertained. Thought Mallory was often unintentionally hilarious and my current favorite characters are the sarcastic, acerbic Tim and comical, nice Mitch, especially their hysterical interactions with Jack. Love that the series shows gorgeous scenery; impressed they film with blowing snow and rain!
Some of the funny remarks here are so true…they do eat a lot of fried chicken, characters constantly scream out the rider’s name when they fall off the horse, and Lou is indeed all about Lou.
I find it humorous: Jacks walks around in the house in his socks, the younger characters trade “Hey” when they greet one another, and the writers are determine to make Ty a renaissance man (he travels the globe to treat animals, defends his wiry body against men twice his size, and is often an amateur sleuth.) For the most though show is feel good entertainment.
