Caleb and Lou

I was actually surprised with the whole Lou & Caleb thing, because it didn't cross my mind to have Caleb as a potential love interest for Lou, until it happened...and to be perfectly honest, I actually quite like the idea of them as a couple. The age difference between them may seem like a problem at first, but once you look deeper, they start to make sense...Peter was always traveling for work, and sometimes she had no one to talk to or complain to about her problems, and for a while Caleb was there, he listened to her, comforted her and provided Lou a much-needed shoulder to lean on when she needed it, Caleb was there for Lou when Peter wasn't, so naturally something was going to happen between them. And I agree, Caleb is the sort of man who is committed to a relationship and he seems like the type who would make a better husband or boyfriend because he would be very committed to their relationship and would care for her children, and would be there for Lou when she needed him the most, considering how caring he was towards Lou, he was sort of like her emotional support.
But of course Lou was still married to Peter at the time, so that was as far as Lou and Caleb could go in their relationship, the writers did not develop their relationship any further. But I think Lou & Caleb had potential, they may seem a little mis-matched to some people, but Caleb is precisely the kind of guy that you would not expect a woman like Lou to go for, and that's what I think would make this couple interesting, and I had hoped that the writers had taken that leap and make Lou & Caleb happen after Lou separated with Peter, so I am a little disappointed that they didn't. I don't like Caleb's current girlfriend Cassandra and I don't want Lou to reunite with Peter either...but at least Lou's new love interest Mitch seems decent. I still would like to see how Lou & Caleb as a couple would be like though.
