Do they live somewhere on the heartland ranch or did they buy their own house off the property or do the live in one of the cabins or something? I must have missed an episode that explained this.

They remodeled the entire loft above the barn, adding more windows, with the help of Tim and Jack. It's now a nicely furnished one bedroom apartment with a complete kitchen and bath.

Is there an actual door between the apartment and the stable or does the hole apartment smell like horses? Never seen any doors, and everyone seems to walk right in.
shareThat would be terrible to live up there and have it smell like horses 24/7. I get that they are used to it but to not be able to separate the smell from their home has to stink. No pun intended.

I was wondering the same thing about whether they had a door or not. But not because of the horse smell, because they're newlyweds and they need something to lock so her grandpa or nieces don't wake in on their private time.
