So What's Going On With Geoergie???

Georgie is an orphan. Her parents died when she was 3 and she has been bounced around from foster home to foster and treated poorly. All she wants is two parents and a family. Lou and Peter take her in and promise her they will take care of her then a year or two later they are giving up on their marriage even though they are still in love. Just about every wrong thing Georgie does is a lame effort to bring Lou and Peter back together because she is terrified of being abandoned again. She's just a kid who wants stability in her life and her new adoptive parents divorcing is not a stable situation. In her young mind they have lied to her and she can see how unhappy one parent is without the other. At least that is what I see.
I get that turmoil is what makes for great drama but two parents who have been shown to love each other as these two seem to and to have them give up so easily makes it easy for me to understand why the child acts out so much. Their main issue seems to be geography. Get over it and do what is right for the children. Peter is a businessman and he knew how close the family was with each other when he married Lou so taking the kids away from that family and her friend, even for summer every year, is unacceptable IMHO. Lou needs to stop whining and controlling every situation and maybe Peter will do the right thing and come home instead of tearing the family apart because his job is more lucrative farther from home. You don't make a commitment to a fragile child (And Georgie is fragile when it comes to abandonment issues.) and then break it with so little effort.

I have to admit that i am not a big georgie fan. Georgie gets away with everything without consequences, if things dont go her way she sulks. Her parents always cave in. If someone ask her to do something she does the opposite. To bad they cant send her back where she came from. Georgie makes me want to quit the show.
