In the first few seasons, it seems like everyone was on top of each other and the house seemed quite small. But then after Georgie came on they found an upstairs to remodel? Why wouldn't Amy have done that years ago for some of her own privacy.
And the Dude Ranch? I thought there were multiple cabins?
I'm still in the middle of season 7 and Georgie is still sharing a room with Amy, but I've always wondered where the staircase occasionally seen in the background went. It seems like all the bedrooms (4?) are on the ground floor.
I think the dude ranch has 2 buildings with 2 rooms each for a total of 4 cabins. But that's more a guess than anything.
Since they never really showed too much one can only assume how it is.
On the first floor they have one or two rooms, one of those rooms being Georgie's and a toilet. And on the ground floor, there's Jack's, Lou's, Amy's (now seems to be Katie's own room) rooms and the rest you'd expect from a traditional house (living room, toilet, kitchen, etc).
Amy moved from her room to the loft. However, this was later in the series.
Eh, noticing this made me realise (again) that Lou pointlessly decided to stay back home than move with Peter who was right all along and it was for the best they separated - she's kinda crazy.
From what I remember Georgie's in the attic, that thay had to push Jack to empty out because he had basically turned it into an emotional horde. It makes sense that no one, especially Amy would've tried to live there in the past when it meant so much to Jack and as a family, they all have a hard time unlaoding their emotional baggage.
