The movie doesn't really attack religion

It just attacks blind faith. Yeah there was religion bashing but in the context of blind faith. In the director's cut, Ruth never went to a doctor for her eye, her father just said, God is the only doctor she needs. Then there is Ruth who was wearing a shirt of Christ shooting Darwin. Saying the Earth is only 4000 years old and fighting with Paul because he offered a valid reason for something. Ruth's father is the main problem. Paul was a demon and when he healed Graeme that was a miracle and thank the lord. He saw someone bring someone back and thought it was a miracle from God even though he saw Paul do it through his own eyes. Religion and faith in something good and honest is a good thing to have, but it shouldn't be blinded, it shouldn't blind you to the wonders around and the possibilities.

The movie, like most moern Militant Atheists (No not all Atheists are liek this) makes no distinction, and doesnt even try to get its own fscts right. (Young Earth Creationists woudl say the Earht is,a t its yougnest, 6000 years Old not 4000, for exampe.) The flm made no effort to depict any other Kind of Christianity, and did the same thginy ou do by equatign Religion with Christianity.

That's the point, if you knew nothign abotu Christianity then sw this film you'd have a engative voew of Christians, and wiggs salvation came from becomign an atheist, wih Freed her.

The film was relaly just bigoted in that sense.

Actually, Zarove, I agree with you about everything except your use of the word "bigoted." Religion is NOT immune from criticism or even harsh ridicule. It's just an idea like any other. Bigotry would involve attacking real people (not fictional characters) only for their religion, which this film does not do.

Also, I really hope that you are addressing your writing issues. I teach writing skills to dyslexic students, and I suspect you could learn to communicate better. That won't protect you from rude people on the Internet, of course, but becoming a clearer writer can improve your quality of life. Best of luck.

Militant atheism, words concocted by pussy theists to avoid admitting that they have no logical argument to stand on.

If it attacks religion "in the context of blind faith" (as you say), then it's attacking religion--or as you also say, it "bashes" that kind of religion.

But I quibble. As an atheist, I found this film a pretty weak example of religious criticism. Yeah, none of the good guys exhibit any sort of religiosity. Ruth in fact seemed to abandon everything her brand of religion taught her without replacing it with another set of spiritual ideas. This was far from a rigorous take-down of faith, I'm guessing because the film makers didn't think the subject of religion was worth thinking about very deeply.

Yeah, it sorta does.

Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar, and / or doesn't.
