I'm not much of a critic, but this movie just "eh"'d me to death

I'm agreeable to most any movie, but this seemed like the laziest of efforts. This was so run of the mill...I just finished it and didn't bother with the last five minutes, I'd been waiting for it to be over for the last hour, shortly after realizing that this was one the writers seemed to sleepwalk through.

Which sucks because I'd been looking forward to seeing it for some time, and I mean, it was harmless, but it just...wasn't much of anything. If you read the plot description...that's pretty much the gist of it.

This was such a middling movie that it seemed to really stick out for being so middle-of-the-road, its just that mundane.
I didn't hate this movie at all...I just hated that for such an intriguing premise, they didn't seem to even try with this one.

Another reviewer mentioned Happy Death Day...if you haven't already seen it, see it instead of this one. The charm alone puts it in a whole other category...and it knows what it is.
