Rescue attempt
After the first helicopter was shot down we see a soldier in the second helicopter point his pistol at the pilot. Just curious as to why he did that. Did he want the pilot to land regardless of heavy enemy fire?

shareYes, he wanted to do whatever necessary to rescue his brothers.
shareNope that's wrong. He was merely conducting a pistol practice drill while communicating with the pilot.
It's actually quite common for SEALs(U.S. Navy type) to randomly draw their service pistols out for practice/training purposes to test and improve self awareness, weapons handling knowledge, and tactical response reaction. They do this commonly on the fly(literally).
