Back at Number One

After 4 weekends as the top film, Scream replaced No Way Home at number one for two weeks, but last weekend Spider-Man was back at number one. I don't follow these things closely, but I assume this is a fairly uncommon scenario, where a film drops from number one only to retake first place a couple weeks later?

You are correct it is uncommon but it does happen occasionally and its usually with giant blockbusters like this. Given all the covid nonsense the box office performance of this film is rather stunning. It makes you wonder what the totals would have been in a non covid era.
