As if anyone would want to live in SF

Suspension of disbelief indeed.

You must be one of the shit stains SF is so famous for.

reply

Junkies love SF

reply

They have high tourism. Many would live in SF if they could afford it

reply

Those were the days! It used to be beautiful but ended 10 years ago.

reply

Yeah, people would have rather lived in the Mega City, in the 6th version of the Matrix.

Though admittedly, Merv seemed right at home in San Francisco.

reply

Ah THAT's why Merv looked like that! This is his San Francisco iteration

BTW, re: "It used to be beautiful but ended 10 years ago." Folks have been saying that about SF since at least the 70s.

It's always been a pretty city from a distance, plagued with ugly stinkiness closer up. That's just SF. I still love the city, like I do NYC, though I'd never LIVE in either place, long term.

In this film, figure it's just the Analyst's shortcut for a Matrix that's sufficiently live-able yet imperfect enough to avoid rejection. The Architect made his version from scratch. NPH just copy-pasted San Francisco.

reply

Its been true since the 70s though. San Fran has been going down the shithole in the last 50 years to the point where its literally beating india on amount of literal shit on the streets.

reply

Rather live in San Francisco than any redneck city.

reply

Um, SF blows....
